Instructor Bio's - Gary Lord
Gary Lord is recognized as an international artist, teacher, author and
television personality. Gary owns and operates Gary Lord Wall Options and
Associates, Inc., which executes all of his commercial and residential
decorative finishing contracts. Wall Options won first place in seven
national competitions by The Painting and Decorating Contractors of America
and Painting and Decorating Contractor for best faux finisher in the nation
for 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. Gary was also named the premier top
spot of Who's Who in the Painting Industry by the American Painting
Contractor for 2007. Gary also operates Prismatic Painting Studio, which
allows him to teach his skills to others, nationally and internationally.
Prismatic sells paint products, tools of the trade and educational
materials.
Gary has appeared 100's of times as a demonstrator for decorative painting
on HGTV's Decorating with Style, The Carol Duvall Show, the P.B.S. show
Paint! Paint! Paint!, and The Discovery Channel's Christopher Lowell Show.
He can also be seen on Home Matters, and the regional cable programs Around
the House, and Home Works. Gary is a respected author with three best
selling books Great Paint Finishes for a Gorgeous Home, Marvelous Murals you
can Paint, and It's Faux Easy. Gary has just completed his fourth book
which will showcase 20 different mural artists called Mural Painting,
Secrets For Success . Gary also writes numerous articles on decorative
painting for Decorative Artist Workbook, The Artist Magazine, The Faux
Finisher, Artistic Stenciler, The Decorative Painter, Profiles in Faux,
P.W.C., Paint Pro, American Painting Contractor and Architectural Living,
among others.
